We spoke with Merily of Sequin Magazine about living in Estonia, her favorite movies and what she thinks the secrets to style are:

1. How would you describe your style?
My style is very girly and romantic. I like to wear light coloured blazers and floral dresses and my closet is full of pastel coloured vintage pieces.

2. What's your favorite outfit you've ever worn?
I really liked this one. It's so simple, yet it has some quirky features as well.

3. Where is your favorite place in the world and why?
My favourite place is the Old Town of Tallinn. It's my home and I know it inside out. It's so mysic and cozy and I love it.

4. Who is your style icon?
I don't have a particular style icon who I follow and try to look like at all costs but I really like the style of Miroslava Duma and Alexa Chung. They are oh so good at matching vintage finds with designer and high street it makes me jealous. I really look up to them.

5. Tell us a little more about your home country, and what you think makes it special?
I live in small country in Europe, Estonia. I'm always surrounded with beautiful nature, great history and fun loving people and I think that it's the people and their love for their country that make Estonia so special.

6. Do you prefer summer or winter, and why?
I prefer summer, because although winter can be fun, it last forever here and all this snow and cold temperatures get really tiring after a while. And I'm more of a dress and skirt wearing person and you can't wear them with -30C so that pretty much sums it up.

7. What is your favourite food?
I'm a huge fan of French pastry. Different macarons, croissants, canelés...even naming these makes my mouth water.

8. Favorite stylish movie?
"Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" is a classic. I've watched this movie a billion times and I understand more about it every time. Enrapturing storyline, moving soundtrack and enchanting characters make this movie so good that you don't want it to end. This movie inspires me a lot.

9. What are your 3 most worn items in your closet?
Probably all the classic items like a simple black skirt you can match with interesting tops or bold jewellery as well as a classical black leather jacket you can put on anything. And an item I have with me at any occasion is my miu miu bow satchel.

10. Tell us what you think are the secrets to being fashionable.
I believe that being fashionable is all about picking out the things that suit your personality from the current trends and matching them with classical timeless pieces. That eliminates the chance of looking like a fashion victim, but at the same time it makes you stand out as well.
