Mrs Morning Sun
Gorgeous blogger Anna-Maria of Mrs Morning Sun writes about
living in Germany, her favourite books and her most frequent nail colour. The stunning photography on her blog
is absolutely amazing, and her outfit choices are cute and on-trend.
1. How would you describe your style? I would describe my
style as quite casual, but also elegant with a breeze of bohemian , now and then. But I have to say that I
don't commit myself to just "one" style. I always like trying new things out and combining different styles
together, just how I like it at the moment.
2. Tell us your favorite things about the place you live. Well.. so let's start with
Germany in general. It's actually a great place to live, especially in the bigger cities like Berlin, Hamburg
or Munich. For example in Berlin you'll never feel lonely and the people are very open-minded and want to know
different people and cultures, which is very nice. On top of that the city is very artistic, there are sooo
many things you can visit and sometimes you can find some new "talents" like in art or in music. And for
shopping, you don't have to be worried too - there are good vintage shops en masse, you just have to find the
right ones. And the specific place where I live is a bit of a smaller town, but that also has advantages.
When I wake up and look out the window I see the beautiful horizon and many trees and I think it's a great
place to take photos, which I really appreciate, because photography is one of my passions.
3. What/who most inspires you? The world. All the people on the street inspire me.
Everyone is different and that's the fact that inspires me the most!
4. How do you shop? With friends? In vintage stores? For many many hours? To be honest, I
like to shop alone. Not always of course, sometimes when I just want to have fun with friends then of course
not, but when I really search for the right things, I like to shop alone or with my sister. Like that, I just
find the RIGHT items I searched for and don't get convinced by others to buy something else.
When I go shopping I just look around in the city but I also
often search for vintage shops, cause it's just something special with like an attitude plus it's mostly
supercheap. Who doesn't like that? Well, I like shopping for many hours just because I want to find the
right things, as I already said. But not the whole day long, cause that's just too long and then you
mostly get annoyed of trying things on and stuff like that, so like I'd say a couple of hours.
5. Your three favorite books are... Anna Karenina by Lew Tolstoi, The Host by Stephenie
Meyer and The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
6. What are the three most worn items in your wardrobe? A loose plain white shirt with
some lace on it , a superskinny black pair of jeans (or black tights – can't decide!) and a grey high-waisted
and flattered skirt.
7. Top beauty, skin, hair and makeup tips? Be yourself. Okay, in specific.. Don't wear too
much make-up, it's just not good for your skin and keep it moisturized - your skin will be thankful! I think a
cateye with an eyeliner à la Brigitte Bardot looks always good, cause then you have a boomer on your eyes and
should keep your lips natural. And for the hair, don't damage it too much - If you can't avoid then you
shouldn't forget to care for it with a silicone-free conditioner for example. Cute hairstyles I think are the
"bohemian"-influenced ones, like braids or just loose curls. At last, concealer is miracle cure!
8. Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would be waking up in the morning on a Saturday, having no school and no things to organize,
having my friends with me and dancing in the morning fog. Then the sun should come and warm us up a bit and we
would go to the train station, just buy some tickets to wherever we are in the mood to go, chill around, taking
pictures, having fun, drink some cappucino and then when it's getting a bit darker outside, sitting on a
rooftop and seeing the sun going down, listening to music and just enjoying the moment.. and then maybe dancing
through the night.
9. What is your favorite thing(s) to eat? I love, love, love Pasta, Sushi (in general
asian food), meat filled with sheep's milk cheese and a russian salad called "Olivier" - So delicious!
10. Tell us 5 random things about you. - I like listening to Reggae.
- I love Prague.
- I mostly paint my nails in a brownish-bordeaux colour.
- Many artists I like are from Sweden, but not on purpose.
- I don't like waking up too early.
