La Petit Poucet
Self-confessed Starbucks addict Carissa of blog La Petit Poucet took a few moments to
answer some fashion questions for us. Her blog is friendly,
fashionable and funny, and we're quite happy to have
stumbled upon it...
1.
Describe your style in 3
words.
I'd
say down-to-earth. Well, after all it's 3 words,
right?
2. Who is your biggest
fashion influence?
Annabel
Ly from Blushing
Ambition is definitely my biggest
influence for her clean & simple style, and not
only her style that has inspired me greatly, but also
her photography skill. She's inspirational. What more
can I say?
3. Tell us a few random
things about
yourself.
Well, in my spare time, I dance a
lot, 4 times a week. Usually ballet and
jazz-funk/jazz-ballet. I'm trying to get myself into a
hip hop class and capoeira class (You can call me
obsessed, I don't mind). And oh yeah, a driving class.
In other time, I just fool around with my friends and
camera.
4. Which is your favorite
outfit you've ever
worn?
This
one,
because I wear a lot of oversize blouse/tee on daily
basis. I love
oversize!
5. Your 3 most worn items in
your closet?
Zara denim shorts, a maxi skirt and
also my good old Chuck Tay's (a.k.a
Converse).
6. Describe your perfect
day...
A day spent with friends :
fooling around or just hanging in the local cafe,
laughing our heart out, or a rainy day spent in either
Starbucks/bedroom with books, iPod and a glass of Hot
Chocolate as company. That's perfect enough for
me.
7. What are your favorite
songs at the
moment?
For
now, it's Club Can't Handle
Meby Flo
Rida & David Guetta. I press the replay button
like maybe a thousand time, like an obsessed old
woman. This song is definitely a mood-lifter. For
days, I've always started my day with
this.
8. Tell
us a few things you really love about the place you
live...
Ah,
my crib, how do I even begin? There's just too much to
say. The view from the balcony is so amazing,
especially when the sun is setting. And then, there's
a Starbucks & cinema (crucial for me) nearby, and
of course I love how my room can be a mini photo
studio for my outfit shots :)
9. Your favorite designers
and brands?
My all
time fave is definitely Karl Lagerfeld together with
Chanel, no one understands the word "classic" as good
as Herr Karl does. There's also one local designer I
love for the simplicity of her design and she
is Nina
Nikicio. But
for daily wears, I'm into Zara for sure. It's always
perfect for streetwear, from top to
bottom.
10. What fashion advice do
you follow?
I guess it'll be the most
cliche advice, which is "Be Yourself". That's why they called it personal
style, it's all about who you are and how you dress, not
anyone else.
