Kathleen of Inspirafashion was kind enough to answer our questions - here she tells us about her style icons, her most worn fashion pieces and her top style tips.

1. Introduce yourself...
My name is Kathleen Murillo. I'm a 20 year-old girl originally from the Bay Area and am finishing up my Junior year at UC Berkeley. I'm a fashion blogger and run my own blog sharing my fashion inspirations (hence the name Inspirafashion) with amazing & inspiring readers from all over the world. I'm currently looking into fashion as a career after I graduate and possibly getting into styling. Other than fashion, I LOVE foood, eating out at diff places, drawing/painting/art, yoga, and trying on makeup in Sephora occasionally :P..

2. Do you prefer vintage, thrift, high street or designer?
I feel I really prefer vintage, especially if it is from a high-end designer like for instance Chanel. It gives it a bit of history behind it and whenever I wear vintage, I just feel like I'm connected in some special way to the person who wore it before me.

3. What's your favorite outfit you've ever worn?
I would have to say this one, recently I came up with this outfit and it really has such a pretty color palette and I like how I stepped out of my comfort zone with my hair and created a fishtail braid. It also was with my new Hardcouture velvet shorts which I LOVE.

4. Who most inspires your style?
The girls who I interact with on my blog, hands down. I feel everytime I see their posts, I subliminally incorporate a bit of each of their styles into my everyday looks. My other style icons would be Mary-Kate Olsen and Zooey Deschanel.

5. What things are do you most love about the place you live?
The bustling and amazing sights and sounds of Berkeley. In a way, it's like a mini SF. I love the people and the unique restaurants away from mainstream ones. The little shops and boutiques along the streets are intriguing as well.

6. How, where and with who do you like to shop?
I rarely make a shopping list (which I should), but I just go in with a mindset of what I feel like I really need to add to my closet. I love to shop at thrift stores the most, my definite favorites are Wasteland, Crossroads, Buffalo Exchange, Goodwill. I find a lot though at my favorite store H&M.

7. Favorite movie for costume?
Definitely right now, Black Swan. The ballerina outfits are so breathtakingly beautiful. The designs are flawless and really incorporate the storyline so well with the white and black swan.

8. What are your 5 most worn items in your closet?
My Urban Outfitters black treading boots, LF army green parka, Anarchy Street sheer black blouse, H&M light pink maxi skirt, and a black floral vintage blouse.

9. Describe your perfect day...
Sleeping in until whenever I want, waking up eating my usual nutella and banana slice of toast with fresh brewed starbucks coffee (soy white mocha), getting all dressed up to go out for a nice day of thrift/vintage shopping, having endless amounts of $$ to splurge on whateverr I want, hm and prob at the end of the day, ending up buying a beautiful vintage Chanel purse. :)

10. What are your top 3 style tips?
Wear and go out in whatever YOU feel confident in. Be thrifty when shopping, buy necessities but splurge once in a while on an item you've been dying to get. Have fun mixing pieces together when creating your outfit for the day--I love to grab diff clothes and just put them all together on my bed, to see if they're a perfect match for an outfit.
