Fashion on Edge

Author of super stylish fashion blog, Fashion on Edge, talks to Fashion Questions about life, being a stylist and her favorite things...

 1. Tell us a bit about yourself...
My name is Robynne. I'm 19 years old. I'm obsessed with fashion and people with great style  and believe that the best outfits are the ones that don't make sense. I live for riffling through thrift store racks so that i'm not wearing the same thing as the girl next to me.

Right now, I'm studying fashion design and interning with a PR/stylist. I read way too many magazines and procrastinate like no other. I'm from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada but dream of living in London. Currently: updating the soundtrack to my life.

2. How would you describe your style?
My style is eclectic, childish sometimes, and a little eccentric. One day i will dress like a grandma, the next like a 5-year old, though I usually like to keep it edgy and a little bit rock n' roll.

3. Who's style inspires you most?
Lady Gaga, Alexa Chung, Joan Jett, Irina Lazareanu, Aygness Deyn.

4. Do you prefer vintage, highstreet, designer or homemade?
My budget limits me to thrift stores and vintage shopping, however after a birthday or holiday, i usually hit up H&M, Urban Outfitters, and Zara.

5. Have you got any good thrift shopping tips?
Don't ever just look in your size. Look at all the sizes. Shoes too!

6. What's you favorite outfit right now?
Cozy flannel, holy black tights, lace-up ankle boots, and my leather moto jacket.

7. How many shoes do you own, and which are your favorites?
I work at a shoe store. I own enough for shoes for my entire family and the neighbors.

8. You're studying fashion design at the moment, what's your average day like?
Wake up at 7:00 am. Take the train to school. Leave school at 4:00pm. Intern until 9:00pm. Come home, finish homework and watch gossip girl!

9. Who are your favourite designers?
Alexander Wang, Balmain, Burberry and Marc Jacobs.

10. What’s, in your opinion, the hottest trend this season?
Leather, but it's slowly dying and berry colored lips of course!

11. What’s on your ipod right now?
Morrissey. Coconut records, Devendra Banhart. The Runaways.
