how to sew. Go check out her blog, Angela See Angela

1. Who/what is your greatest source of inspiration?
That is such a hard question, umm, everywhere really. A lot of the time when I'm designing I like to think about
what I'd like to wear, or what I think could be missing in the market today.
2. Where did you learn to sew and design?
I'm mainly self taught, I took one drawing class at the end of last year and 3 years ago I took one semester of
'textiles' at my old school as a part of the year 7 curriculum.
3. Do you prefer highstreet, vintage, designer or homemade?
A mixture of the 4. Wearing just all designer, or all highstreet is sort of unoriginal, it's hard or too expensive
to find a whole wardrobe of vintage and there are things you can't make at home. As you can see in some of my
outfits I love to mix and match.
4. What's your favorite outfit you've ever worn?
Ahh this is another hard question. It's like asking a parent to pick their favourite child... I can't really pick a
favourite but I do have a 'most memorable'; the outfit I wore to L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Off-white
blouse with cute lace detail and a peter pan collar, a tutu style skirt I made, Louboutin Mad Marys, a white and
black coat. Simply because I had so much fun that night, a memory is now attached to that outfit.
5. Your favorite pair of shoes?
My new christian louboutin decolletes. They are really simple, classic but high, my little toes are still regaining
feeling after breaking them in last week.
6. What is in your purse?
Uhh, for most of the week I carry my school bag which is full of the usual stuff. But on weekends; my phone,
wallet, mp4, a pen, and a bag which has been 'dubbed' the-little-bag-of-everything by my friends which contains a
mini first aid kit, lip balm, mascara, and other girly things like that.
7. Which style magazines do you read?
Vogue and Harper's bazaar mainly.
8. How have you developed your own clothing style?
Sort of, I'm still young and it'll probably evolve as time passes. But, I'd say my style is feminine and girly, I
love a cinched waist, high heels and headbands! I am loving headbands at the moment, I've been told I dress very
Blair Waldorf-ish (Gossip Girl).
9. What do you pack for vacation? I hate packing for vacation. I always over pack, but i'd
say simple pieces that are great for layering and mixing. Oh and an extra suit case if you're going somewhere with
great shopping! At the beginning of this year when I went to china for a holiday with my mum, we left with 2
handbags and a small suit case. We came back with 2 hand bags each, 2 large backpacks and a large suitcase.
10. Tips for people who would like to start making their own clothes?
As I am 15 I'd say start early/young, experiment and don't be afraid of failing, because even if it doesn't turn
out just the way you wanted, see it not as a waste of time but practise, and we all know that practise makes
perfect.
