What to Wear to
School

Individual and Trendy Outfits
Sometimes picking an outfit for school is so difficult, it
needs to be appropriate but trendy, sophisticated yet
gorgeous.
If you don't know what to wear to school, just look at our
school fashion tips below, or be inspired by Rebecca (right) of
blog The
Clothes Horse, who always look fashionable, modest
and individual with everything she wears.
To recreate her look pair some thick black tights with
studded black flats, an interesting fitted high-waisted skirt,
brightly coloured tshirt and a cute pendant necklace.
Add a little excitement with a thick leather belt, check
shirt, 90s shoes or stripey dress! Be sure to combine you
favorite items together, and experiment until you find
combinations you love.
Schools and colleges often have their own dresscode,
so these are just guidelines for you to start getting
creative:
- Look like a lady with well fitted clothes
- Learn what colors suit you best, and make sure to
incorporate these into your wardrobe
- Wear pretty shoes that make you smile
- Get an awesome hair cut for the quickest way to
looking expensive and chic
- Buy some belts to quickly update your wardrobe
- Figure out how to sew so you can adjust hemlines and
necklines for the latest season
- Find a school bag that you actually like, practical but
pretty. Try carrying your books in a separate bag to your
purse, phone etc, then you can just put them in your
locker.
- Invest in some good leather boots that you can wear
with everything
- Stock up on cheap, layering tops from stores like Old
Navy and H&M
- Experiment with vintage
outfits and thrift looks by checking out
your nearest vintage store
- Jewellery is a great way to reflect your personality,
so whether it's chunky or delicate, colorful plastic or
shiny metal, find your personal style
- Scarves are brilliant when it starts to get cold, and
are a cheap way to change an outfit
- Skirts and dresses will make you look more attractive,
and make you feel more girly
- Make sure you have plenty of tights and leggings for
your winter wardrobe
- Add buttons, lace or iron-ons to an old top you don't
wear any more. Customise.
- Plan what you will wear the night before, if you really
want to make a statement and appear thoughtful
- Make sure you have some staple outfits that you know
look good so you can wear these when you wake up late.
-
Makeup is a great way to look polished, so
pop on some mascara, liner, blusher and gloss!
