What to Wear to a
College Interview
Don't know whats too corporate or too
fashionista?
Picking an outfit for a college interview is stressful,
you'll want to look professional whilst still showing your own
unique personality, as well as feeling comfortable and
confident; its a difficult thing to decide. Do you go with
heels or flats, skirts or trousers, suits or coordinated
separates...
Choose fitted styles, clothes that are ironed and shoes
which are clean and polished.
There will be a different dress code for different kinds of
subject/school interviews. If you are being interviewed for a
creative subject, then you will definitely want to show how
creatively you can put together an outfit, as well as being
occasion appropriate.
If you have an interview for a business subject then a suit
will be a sensible choice, but make sure to accessorize well to
show you have that litte something extra. Pop on a funky
brooch, or style your hair with a cute accessory, slip on some
cute bright shoes and a matching blouse under your suit.
Make sure to remember to bring any certificates and
completed forms you need with you. There's nothing more
offputting for an interviewer than someone who appears
unprepared.
If you don't want to wear a suit, then you have loads of
options. A knee length skirt is completely appropriate, when
teamed with a fitted top. Make sure that the necklines aren't
too low, as this will give the wrong impression.
A dress is a surefire way to make you feel confident, and
look sophisticated, plus there are lots of ways to make it look
more individual. Add a cute and colourful jacket or cardigan,
and show off your amazing figure by popping on a waistbelt.
